During the Mother of Sorrows Church Festival on 2-3 August, Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) was present performing community outreach. The firefighters displayed Truck 20 and Rescue 20, showing the public the various types of equipment used to respond to fire and rescue incidents. Further Station 20 displayed its antique 1927 LaFrance Engine, which is similar to the first fire truck that the Murrysville Volunteer Fire Department started with in 1927. The public was able to graphically see the improvements in firefighting equipment during the 92 years of service that the Murrysville Volunteer Fire Department's has given the community.
