By Secretary Mike Cline
October 2, 2026
During the month of September, the firefighters of the Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company (Station 20) responded to 47 Fire/Rescue Calls within its Primary and Mutual Aid Areas of Responsibility for a total of 313 Calls during the first nine months of 2026. The 2026 Combined Fire Training Program continued with classes on the use Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Operating Procedures, and Examination of the capabilities/equipment of the new Engine 22 (Export VFD). As we approach the home heating season, the Station 20 Firefighters want to remind all homeowners and business owners to ensure that their furnaces are in good working order in order to preclude unwanted release of Carbon Monoxide into the structure. Station 20 remains prepared to provide "First Responder" Fire/Rescue Services not only for the residents, businesses and organizations within the Murrysville-Export Area, but also for its Mutual Aid Response Areas.
