During the month of September, the Firefighters of the Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company #1 (Station 20) answered 31 fire/rescue calls including 2 structure fires, and several multi-vehicle collisions within our primary response area for a total of 385 calls during 2024. The company continued with its 2024 Training Program, completing Phase 2 of Vehicle Rescue, provided at the station by the Westmoreland County Community College Fire School. The Vehicle Rescue Phase 2 Training was also attended by firefighters from Station 22 (Export), Station 30 (Delmont), Station 24 (Southwest Greensburg), and Station 9 (Level Green). The Firefighters of Station 20 remain prepared to answer all Fire/Rescue Calls from the residents and businesses not only within our primary response district, but also within our mutual aid response districts.
