Joint Vehicle Rescue Training - Station 20 Fire Grounds
By Secretary Mike Cline
June 8, 2022
During the evening of 8 June 2022, the Firefighters of Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) and Station 22 (Export VFD) participated in a joint vehicle rescue training exercise at the Station 20 Fire Grounds. The firefighters were familiarized with the available rescue equipment on Rescue 20 and Squad 22, in order to promote interoperability at highway rescue incidents. The firefighters then employed the rescue tools on a salvaged car to extricate a simulated patient. This event was continuation of the ongoing joint training program, with the goal to provide better coordination at multi-station fire/rescue calls.
