Pump Operations Training

Firefighters from the Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company (Station 20), Export Volunteer Fire Department (Station 22), and Lower Burrell (Kinlock) Fire Company (Station 54) completed Pump Operations 1 (16 hours) presented by the Westmoreland County Fire Academy at Station 20. The firefighters received instruction in water flow methodology to ensure adequate water is placed on a variety of fire types, practical fire pump instruction on how to move water by multiple firefighting units using either a municipal water supply or dump tanks and having those units proving adequate water to both master-stream and attack lines. This training is part of the 2024 Firefighter Training Package, that is being provided by the Westmoreland County Fire Academy to ensure that the firefighters of Station 20 and 22 have the most update Fire/Rescue Skills.
