During the evening of 23 February, Joint Training Events between Stations 20 (Murrysville VFC) and 22 (Export VFC) was held at the Station 20 Fire Grounds on Sardis Road. The firefighters received instruction and practical application in Drafting Pump Operations, Multiple Engine Operations, and the use of Attack Fire Lines and Static Fire Monitors for structure and wild-lands fires. This joint training helps to ensure that each station's firefighters are familiar with the equipment, personnel, and leadership of the other station, which is beneficial in multi-station fire-rescue incidents. This was the first joint training session of the year, and firefighters of both stations are looking forward to additional training events, and incorporating additional stations within their mutual aid response areas.
