At ~ 2:57 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) to setup/run a helicopter landing zone for Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One) at the Station 20 Fire Grounds. Station 20 responded with Engine 20 (5 firefighters including Captain 20), with an additional firefighter manning the station. Captain 20 established the command, Engine 20's crew setup the landing zone, and provided fire/rescue support for the landing zone. The STAT MedEvac Aerial Ambulance landed, and the patient was transferred from the Medic 617 to the aerial ambulance for transport to a local hospital. Upon departure of the aerial ambulance, Engine 20's crew broke down the landing zone, and Command 20 returned Engine 20 to service and station.
