I knew a Bill Yant from this area about 35 years ago and wonder if he is related to your Asst Chief?

It was great to see everyone again and be able to help out with the carnival. I always tell people Murrysville is home to me, even though I'm in DE now. The fireworks were great! It'll take a few nights to get the click of the chuck o' luck wheel out of my head, but it was worth it. Keep up the good work and stay safe!

I just wanted to give a shout out to you all at the MVFD. I will be retiring from the Fairfax County (Virginia) Fire and Rescue Department in July with over 35 years of service. I just wanted to thank you all for helping to give me my start by taking me in as a member back in the summer of 1972. Guys like Phil McGuigan, Roy Houston, Randy Martz, Ted Heider and of course my Dad - Jim Sr, helped give me a good start toward a great career. It was also nice to see that my presence there has not totally been erased as I see I am still in the training session photo on the history page, complete with 70's style sideburns. Good Luck to you all in the job you do. Thanks again and Stay Safe.
To Chief Dover and our District 1 Brothers thanks for continued support, our spaghetti dinner was a great success. We couldn't ask for a better group ! You guys always come through and support us in all our fund raising efforts at the 78 house! Keep up the good work DOWNTOWN!!

Thanks guys for all the good work you do & special hugs to all the lifetime members. Just checking in to see when the carnival will run this year. I saw some time ago you were looking for an elderly man that was missing. That sort of thing has happened here too; some people have returned to former homes and towns while others just wanted some alone time. There's a device now that looks like a watch with a locator signal for individuals with autism or Alzheimer difficulties. Sounds like a device every parent would like to have for their kids? ... Well, maybe not. LOL

Hello, I grew up in Murrysville, and would like to reconnect with my old neighbor, steve gajdos..Steve, if you see this, could you please ask Mary to contact me, I would love to come and visit your family possibly in Aug 08.
Murrysville will always be HOME to me, wishing all of the fireman a safe year..and thanks for putting your life on the line everyday to keep the residents of Murrysville safe.
Nice work, guys. I have a new found respect for you and your work given what my town is experiencing with the passing of FF Holmes. My family and I will be moving to Murrysville in the coming weeks/months. I hope to contribute in some fashion--monetarily or even as a volunteer. All the best. You are appreciated!
Very nice site and greetings from another Co. 20 that has a Sutphen Truck and an E-One Engine! I'd also be interested in trading patches. Thanks! Keep Safe!
