At ~ 8:54 AM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a 2-Vehicle Collision in front of Heritage Elementary School on School Road North. Station 20 responded with Rescue 20 (2 firefighters including Chief 20), with Assistant Chief 20 and Lieutenant 20 going directly to the scene, and 3 additional firefighters on standby at the station in case additional apparatus was needed. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One) and the Murrysville Police to the scene. Assistant Chief 20 and Lieutenant 20 arrived on scene, found both drivers out of the vehicles under assessment by Station 610 EMS, and the Murrysville Police had command of the scene. Upon Rescue 20's arrival, its crew remediated the fluid and debris on the roadway, and remained on scene until Wally's Transport recovered both vehicles. Once the vehicles were removed, and the remaining debris was cleared, Command 20 returned Rescue 20 to service and station.
