Tarr Hollow MVA/Village of Clover Ridge CO Alarm

At 10:13 hours, Rescue 20 along with SOC 78 and Rescue 64 were dispatched to Tarr Hollow Road in the area of Forest Ridge Court for a reported single vehicle accident with two people entrapped. Assistant 20-1 would arrive on scene and report that the patients were self-extricating from the vehicle. Assistant 20-1 established the Tarr Hollow command and cancelled 78 and 64. Rescue 20 would call in with a full crew with a non-emergency response. Murrysville Medic One would transport three patients from the scene. While on scene, a small fire started in Medic 614. Rescue 20 crew contained the fire with an extinguisher.

At 13:38 hours, Station 20 was activated for a carbon monoxide alarm with one patient on Clover Lane in the Village of Clover Ridge. Crews arrived on scene to find the patient being packaged by Penn Township EMS. The crew from Rescue 20 metered the manufactured home to find carbon monoxide readings as high as 459 parts per million. Maintenance was called to remove snow from around the flue pipe and a HVAC contractor was called to the scene to re-light the furnace. Crews were out approximately 2 hours.
