By Secretary Mike Cline
July 11, 2019

At ~ 2:26 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for storm flooding at a home on Meadowbrook Road. Station 20 responded with Engine 20 (4 firefighters including Captain 20). Upon Engine 20's arrival, Captain 20 established command, and found that a heavy rain storm had partially flooded a home's basement. Using electric pumps Engine 20's crew started the pumping out of the basement. However, Engine 20 was called to a house struck by lightning during the storm, but returned to finish the pumping of the basement at the conclusion of that call. Once the basement was cleared, Command 20 released Engine 20 return to service and station.

Units: Engine 20
