Today was once again the Sloan Elementary School Salute to Local Heroes lunch in the school cafeteria. Members of the fire departments, medic and police were greeted by the student leaders and escorted to the cafeteria. A great lunch of turkey and all the trimmings were served by the student leaders who made sure we also had plenty of drinks and desserts. As members sat through several lunch periods with students from kindergarten to the 5th grade, a great time was had by all. As each member left, the group received a book of drawings from the students along with a gift. A big thank you goes out to the students, teachers, members of the PTO and the ladies who prepared a great meal for all.

As we all were leaving we stated that we can wait until next year!!
